New Belgium Brewing Creates ‘Finding Common Ground’ Campaign To Help Support Public Lands

Finding Common Ground Campaign

If you spend any amount of time enjoying our great country’s public lands, join us in tipping our caps (or raising a pint) to New Belgium Brewing Company’s ‘Finding Common Ground’ campaign.

In an effort to support organizations dedicated to protecting public lands, New Belgium’s Fat Tire brand is donating up to $250,000 to the cause.

To accomplish their mission, New Belgium will make a base donation of $10,000 to the 6 organizations listed beside each video on the campaign’s webpage, and then by making an additional donation based on shares of the videos “up to $190,000 aggregate.” For each video share on Facebook and Twitter, New Belgium will increase its donation by $0.50 to each of the two organizations associated with such video, as set forth on the page.

Simply by sharing these videos, you can rack up donations for organizations like:

  • Backcountry Hunters & Anglers
  • The Access Fund
  • Tread Lightly!
  • The Trust for Public Lands
  • American Whitewater
  • National Wildlife Federation

All three videos in the series were artfully crafted with one major theme shining through; Finding common ground between folks who share our treasured outdoor spaces.

Part 1: Climber x Hunter

Part one focuses on a bowhunter you may be familiar with from Instagram, Allie D’Andrea, (@outdoors_allie) and a rock climber from Queens, New York. These two outdoors enthusiasts have taken very different paths to the outdoors, but once they cross over into each other’s world and start putting together the puzzle of each pursuit, a common ground is discovered.

You have to hand it to Fat Tire for not just talking the talk, but really going the extra mile to lend a helping hand where it’s truly needed.

If you enjoyed this video, take a moment today and check out parts 2 & 3 by visiting this page. While you’re there, hit the share button on each video and send $1 to a great cause – you can also use the hashtag #FindingCommonGround on social media.

Here’s some other pertinent information from New Belgium regarding the timeline of this campaign:

“If more than 190,000 aggregate shares occur by 11:59 pm MDT, August 17, 2019, then the contributions to the organizations will be prorated. If less than 190,000 aggregate shares are made by August 17, 2019, then the campaign will be extended by one week increments until 190,000 aggregate shares are reached, but the campaign will not extend beyond 11:59 pm MDT, August 31, 2019. Only shares made through or connected to the campaign website, New Belgium’s social media channels, or the non-profit organizations’ social media channels will be counted.”

So here’s to you, New Belgium, and to our public lands. Cheers!
